Instituto Cultural Falcons

The Instituto Cultural is a K-12 school located in Panama and was founded in 1959. The educational project crystallized in several stages. Firstly, as Kindergarten, then as a primary school adopting what is today the name of the school, Cultural Institute, with headquarters in Urbanization “El Cangrejo” and a bilingual (Spanish-English), mixed and secular educational offer, including nursery school and primary school.

The mascot was chosen by the student population. Falcons are native to the area where the school is located.

The IC Falcons are 1 of 3 schools under the Integra Schools umbrella that we were grateful to create athletic identities for. The Other 2 that round out the school district are: Oxford Knights SCALA Jaguars and Oxford Knights.

– Project Goals & Solution

We were looking to create a sports identity based around a full body falcon. The goal is to create a logo that is aesthetically bold, has personality and be part of the brand that the school community can be proud of for years to come. We set our sights for professional sports organization quality, while still appealing to the proper audience of 4 year olds, high schoolers, and adults. (Striking a balance of not too childish, nor overly aggressive.) We wanted to create a logo that’s bold with just enough detail to make it dynamic so color can enhance the logo, rather than be used as a crutch.
